Our team continues to expand, and we are looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer/Graduate Engineering Geologist with the ability to work alone and as part of a team, to join the team in the Livingston office. The successful candidate would be part of the team covering all aspects of ground investigation from desk study, drilling, site and laboratory testing to full interpretative reporting.
The Role
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the planning, supervision, and programming of Ground Investigation projects at locations throughout the UK, but mainly Scotland.
- Work closely with and supervise specialist drillers.
- Log soil and rock in accordance with current UK standards.
- Perform in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with the UK specification and current technical standards.
- Undertake post site work visits for monitoring and sampling.
- Prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical, geoenvironmental and mining assessment reports
- Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors at all stages of the project.
